The theme of the conference is "R&D for the Offshore Energy Transition". The programme seeks to cover new technology solutions based on extensive R&D. This year, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), offshore structures, maintenance, and water management will be in the spotlight, as well as results and perspectives from our extensive chalk research. The programme offers keynote presentations, poster session, and technical breakout sessions that you can choose between.
Keynote speakers from the industry and academia
We have invited industry and academic experts to share their knowledge, technical solutions, and to highlight how research and innovation can contribute to the ongoing energy transition.
Board Member from Global Compact Foundation and Brezo Energy, Henrik O.Madsen will set the stage with a strong focus on tech solutions for the energy transition.
The growing focus on CCS is also reflected in several of the keynote presentations:
- Executive Anne Højer Simonsen from the Confederation of Danish Industry will talk about the CCS alliance, and the need for broad, cross-disciplinary cooperation for the efforts to combat climate change.
- CCS Senior Business Developer from TotalEnergies, Alexia Genin shares an update on the innovative Danish CO2 storage project, Bifrost.
- Professor at DTU Management, Jacob Ladenburg will give a presentation about the public perception of the energy transition and CCS based on results from a large survey.
- Segment Lead Hydrogen and CCS from DNV, Magnus Killingland will also touch upon the hot topic with a presentation titled "Hydrogen and CCUS for long term energy security and decarbonization".
Professor Simon Ivar Andersen from DTU Offshore will present various results from the produced water management programme, and discuss the potential environmental impact of new offshore processes such as wind and chemicals production offshore from PtX.

Poster Session: Innovative research and knowledge sharing
At the poster session, you have the chance to meet a wide range of talented researchers who are experts within the offshore energy field. Here they will share their advanced technical and scientific findings. 70 posters will be showcased in the session, and the best poster will be awarded based on the votes from the participants at the conference.
