Carbon storage is one of the most promising technologies in handing climate challenges. But how can we upscale CO2 storage in Denmark? Experts from industry and academia will provide their answers to this question at DTU Offshore’s CCS Conference 2023, which will have environmental footprint of CCS and monitoring of storage as its other main theme.
Upscaling is the next step
Preliminary results from CO2 storage research and demonstration projects are promising and indicate that most of the known obstacles can be overcome. The next big step will be upscaling and with this follows the need for storage integrity monitoring and environmental management of the entire CCS Value Chain.
The conference takes place at Rungstedgaard north of Copenhagen on Tuesday 6 June 2023. It is a full-day event with presentations followed by a poster and networking session and an evening dinner. Registration is open, and it is recommended to sign up very soon, as there are a limited number of seats available.
Bringing industry and academia together
The conference is following up on last year’s successful CCS conference and the CO2 storage theme at the Technology Conference last November. With this conference, DTU Offshore – Danish Offshore Technology Centre – will bring key actors from industry and academia together to put focus on the latest developments within CCS and the next steps towards upscaling.
