To be ready for the next step towards nearshore and offshore storage, DTU Offshore and PGS are initiating a JIP (Joint Industry Project) to bring together their combined experience to deliver a new evaluation of the offshore storage potential supported by rejuvenated seismic data.
PGS is a marked leader within seismic acquisition, seismic imaging and characterization and in the JIP, they will undertake the re-processing task of the large 2D dataset. This data will become the basis for the JIP studies where DTU Offshore will be undertaking the dynamic modelling of storage complex´s, something which DTU Offshore has expert knowledge within. Bringing together the processing competencies from PGS and the modelling expertise at DTU Offshore will ensure that this JIP will derisk the offshore storage sites and create value for the JIP partners.
The JIP ‘Reducing risks and uncertainties on CO2 storage offshore Denmark’ is now open for companies who would like to join. For further details and inquiries, please reach out to Charlotte N. Larsen and Nick Lee at PGS New Energy. Participation in this JIP requires completing a data licensing form from PGS.
